Hello PI Coresight community!
We wanted to take a few moments to describe some of the OSIsoft presentations you'll be seeing at the User Conference in San Francisco this year. In case you haven't heard, the annual OSIsoft User Conference will be held April 23 to 25, 2012, at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco. You can sign up today at this link. This year's theme is: The Power of Data, so get ready for some data-driven presentations.
Naturally, we're all hard at work preparing the content to be presented by OSIsoft this year, but I thought this would be a good time to give you an idea of what to expect. Feel free to post your questions and comments right here on the blog. At this year's conference you'll have the opportunity to see what's new in the PI System as well as watch demonstrations of how to work with our products in meaningful ways.
In the category of Client applications, you'll see:
In the category of Server applications, you'll see:
You'll also see presentations on:
To learn more about the latest and greatest the PI System has to offer, plan to stay an extra day to participate in the OSIsoft Education Day. If you bring a laptop with a wireless adapter, you can participate in the hands-on activities using our cloud-based Virtual Learning Environment.
Finally, don't forget the always-popular Product Expo, where you'll have an opportunity to see even more product demonstrations and speak with the people who work so hard to produce them. (Like us, the PI Coresight Team)
The OSIsoft presentation abstracts are available now! Check it out....
See you there!

The team here at OSIsoft is always looking to make data more accessible. To this end, we are always talking with our customers about their experiences with PI System products. Over the past few years, we’ve noticed certain themes across our customer feedback. PI System users wanted to find and visualize data more quickly and they wanted an easier way to collaborate those findings with others. And so we went to the drawing board and began to envision an ad-hoc visualization environment that allowed users to focus on exploring their data and sharing their insights with others.
To create the best ad-hoc environment, we focused first on a great PI System search so that it was easy for customers to find data via tag names, descriptions, assets, displays, or any other artifact in the PI System. Another key focus was creating modern graphics to display that data. With simple drag&drop actions, PI Coresight is intuitive and doesn’t require a manual to get started. We also focused on forging the tool so that users could focus on analyzing the data, not on screen layouts or drawing tools. We wanted to make sure users could easily share their findings with colleagues, so we created a tool that is completely deployed on an application server with zero client install so that every user is always up to date and new features can be consumed immediately when they’re ready.
Creating a tool that provides core insights means getting rid of the obstacles that are between users and their data, and PI Coresight does just that. We are committed to making PI Coresight the tool that enables everyone in the organization to get insight and value out of their PI System data.
We've created this blog to keep you, our community, up to date on all things PI Coresight. In here, you'll be able to find information on the motivation to create PI Coresight, some tips and tricks on installation, and great insight into extensibility of the product. Stay tuned for great comments and we always like to hear your comments.
